Imagine the difference 20 million women would make.
I was living in Paris. I made an effort to get to the American Embassy and stand in line with the other expatriates. It was one of the few times during that year abroad that I felt proud to be American. Not so long ago, women fought hard, risked everything, and went to jail to win the right to vote. We can't take it for granted.
